Insurance/RATES

Insurance

If the client is wanting to use insurance coverage towards their mental health therapy sessions, please consider the following:

  • Involving a third party payor means that the insurance company may access the client's records as justification for services at any point in time.
  • In order for insurance companies to justify covering services, a mental health diagnosis is required. If in the intake session, or at any point in time during treatment, the client does not meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis, private pay options will be to discussed.

It is the sole responsibility of the client to know their benefits/coverages. I will verify the client's benefits as a courtesy, yet what insurance will cover cannot be 100% determined until after the first claim is submitted and returned. All costs not covered by insurance is the responsibility of the client.

Insurances accepted: Cigna, UHC/Optum/UMR, Aetna, MedBen (limited plans), and Magellan

(Humana coming soon!)

Private Pay/Self-Pay

Private pay, or self-pay, option is available, meaning the client is opting to pay for services out of pocket without using insurance coverage. This means ultimate privacy for the client and zero chance of an insurance company governing the client's treatment direction.

Intake Session Rate: $125

Established Session Rate: $110

                                                                 Good Faith Estimate

“Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges” Under the No Surprises Act

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  •  You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  •  Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose     for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  •  If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises  or call 901-457-7383 / email lashley@yourtennesseecounselor.com

Cash, check, Venmo, and all major credit cards are accepted.

All payments (private pay, co-pays, co-insurances, and deductible payments) are due at the time the session is held.
